Metalcraft of Mayville “Moves” Its Way into the Equipment Transport Industry By Acquiring VersaTran Inc.

Mayville, Wis. – Metalcraft of Mayville Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of VersaTran Inc., formerly owned by Dick Bertrand of Oconomowoc/Ashippun, WI, effective November 18, 2019.

“We are very excited to add VersaTran’s Retriever product line to our portfolio at Metalcraft of Mayville,” said Metalcraft CEO, Martin Gallun. “With VersaTran’s industry-changing approach to the equipment transport industry and our experience working with customers in the construction, agriculture, and power equipment markets, we see a tremendous amount of opportunity for growth as a result of this purchase.”

According to Mr. Gallun, this should be a smooth transition for VersaTran and Metalcraft. After purchasing Venture Manufacturing, located in Beaver Dam, WI, in 2017, Metalcraft inherited several metal fabrication projects for VersaTran. Two years later, Metalcraft and Versatran have continued to strengthen their relationship, which ultimately led to today’s announcement. Gallun also added, “Due to our close relationship with VersaTran, we already know the scale and complexity of their projects. We look forward to helping them build on their success.”

The company’s belief that “Employees Make the Difference” remains evident, as Metalcraft offers continued employment to all existing VersaTran employees. Joe Simons, General Manager, will continue as advisor for the product development and growth.
