Additional Tech Center advantages:
- First-run jobs are executed through the Tech Center.
- Production laser and CNC press brakes.
- All tools and work instructions are determined and tested before the production process begins.
- Production-ready parts without production tooling.
- Though weld fixtures are not necessary within the Tech Center environment, Demmeler tables with modular tooling capabilities can be utilized to manage any size weldment.
Tool Design
In addition to collaborating with customers to find DFM opportunities, our manufacturing and engineering teams also work together—using the best-available technology—to design and build tools that ensure process efficiency.

Additional Tool Design Information:
- Customer models are imported into WeldPro® to determine torch access, part positioning, and cycle time balancing.
- Critical characteristics are identified to determine special tooling requirements—for example, manufacturing jigs, functional gages, form tooling, and material-handling equipment.
- Tools are designed in Creo using customer models.
- Adjustability is designed into tools to facilitate fine-tuning and to overcome heat distortion.
- Tool and part models are imported into WeldPro for offline robot programming, which helps identify possible torch access and interference issues—and shorten lead time.
