Metalcraft of Mayville Takes Automation to the Next Level By Acquiring FJR Manufacturing

Mayville, Wis. – Metalcraft of Mayville Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of FJR Manufacturing, located in West Bend, WI, effective December 17, 2018.

“These are exciting times at Metalcraft of Mayville,” said Metalcraft CEO, Martin Gallun. “With the additional innovation and automation capabilities resulting from this acquisition, we will now be able to tackle projects that our teams never thought were possible.”

According to Mr. Gallun, FJR Manufacturing will help take Metalcraft to new heights. Metalcraft currently uses robotics and mechanization to assist in many manufacturing processes. Automation has been increasingly used to make employees’ jobs safer, easier, and more competitive through increased efficiencies. By having these additional in-house automation capabilities, Metalcraft plans to expand and accelerate automation projects into new applications to improve overall capacity, safety, and efficiency challenges.

The company’s foundation belief that “Employees Make the Difference” remains evident, as Metalcraft will retain all existing FJR employees. Additionally, this acquisition does not impact the employment status for anyone in Metalcraft’s other three facilities (West Bend, Mayville and Beaver Dam), and the company will continue its hiring and growth strategies as recently communicated to its work groups.
